Privacy Policy

How data from stores and their shoppers is collected, used and protected when a store uses our billing and store management service.

01Who this policy covers

This policy covers two groups of people: store owners and staff who use the service, and the shoppers whose details a store records at its billing counter. Stores decide what shopper data they collect. We process it on their behalf.

02What we collect from stores

When you sign up or contact us, we collect your name, email, store name, town, number of stores and counters, and the billing software you use today.

  • Account details for the owner and each staff login
  • Item lists, prices, tax settings, stock and batch records
  • Bills, returns, purchase orders and supplier records
  • Device and usage logs needed to keep counters running and synced

03Shopper data held for stores

If a store uses Loyalty Card or sends bills on WhatsApp, it may record a shopper's phone number, name, purchase history and points balance. This data belongs to the store. It is used only for that store's own bills and offers, and it is never sold, rented or shared with other stores or advertisers.

04How we use the data

We use data to run billing, stock, expiry and reporting features, to sync counters and branches, to send day-end summaries the store has switched on, to provide support, and to keep the service secure.

Reorder and markdown suggestions are calculated from the store's own sales and stock. They are shown only to that store and need staff approval before anything changes.

05Payments

UPI and card payments taken at the counter are processed by licensed payment partners and settled to the store's own bank account. We do not store full card numbers or UPI PINs.

06Sharing

We share data only with service providers who help us run the service, such as cloud hosting, email delivery and messaging, under contracts that limit their use of it. We may disclose data where the law requires it.

07Storage and security

Data is encrypted in transit and stored on access-controlled servers. Counters keep a local copy of items and unsynced bills so billing works offline; that copy is cleared when a counter is removed from the account.

08Retention

Store data is kept while the account is active. Bills and tax records may be kept for the period required by tax law. When a store closes its account, it can export its data, after which it is deleted except where we must keep it by law.

09Your choices

Store owners can view, export, correct or delete their data from the account. Shoppers who want their details changed or removed should ask the store, and we will help the store do it. Shoppers can opt out of offer messages at any time.
